About the Event
This kids farm camp is aimed at introducing your child to farm life and nature. They will develop skills that foster a gentle, nurturing hand while caring for livestock. They will gain insight with hands on experience into where food comes from. Your child will be getting dirty with hands on farm work, this includes shovelling manure, collecting eggs and planting/harvesting in a garden.
The week will include: daily education, farm work and meditation. Your child will learn about alpacas, llamas, goats, chickens as well as gardening. They will have the opportunity to harvest some vegetables and bring them home to enjoy. They will play farm games including feed bag races, scavenger hunts and egg races. Each day will end with meditation and movement.
Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. each day from Monday, July 18th through Friday, July 22nd inclusive. Closed toed shoes or boots, a hat, water bottle, snack, sunscreen and bug spray are required to be sent daily.
