About the Event
This kids farm camp is aimed at introducing your child to farm life and nature. They will develop skills that foster a gentle, nurturing hand while caring for livestock. They will gain insight with hands on experience into where food comes from. Your child will be getting dirty with hands on farm work, this includes shovelling manure, collecting eggs and planting/harvesting in a garden.
The week will include: daily education, farm work, activities, forest walks and meditation. Your child will learn about alpacas (one day they will walk the alpacas) llamas, goats, chickens as well as gardening. They will have the opportunity to harvest some vegetables and bring them home to enjoy. Each day will end with meditation and movement.
Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. each day from Monday, July 24th through Friday, July 28th inclusive. Closed toed shoes or boots, a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray are highly recommended.
