KIDS FARM CAMP (5 DAYS, AGES 8 TO 13)
Kids farm camp is aimed at introducing your child to farm life and nature. They will develop skills that foster a gentle, nurturing hand while caring for livestock. They will gain insight with hands on experience into where food comes from. Your child will be getting dirty with hands on farm work, this includes shoveling manure, collecting eggs and planting/harvesting in a garden.
The week will include: daily education, farm work and meditation. Your child will learn about alpacas, llamas, goats, chickens as well as gardening. They will have the opportunity to harvest some vegetables and bring them home to enjoy. They will play farm games including feed bag races, scavenger hunts and egg races. Each day will end with meditation and movement.
Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. each day from Monday through Friday, inclusive. Closed toed shoes or boots, a hat, water bottle, snack, sunscreen and bug spray are required to be sent daily.

We begin our walk by gathering at our historic barn where we spend around 15 minutes learning about alpacas and how to handle them. Afterwards, we will lead the alpacas on a picturesque 1.5 km stroll (approx. 30 minutes) through our pasture, fields, by the creek and through the forest before returning them to the barn. Your heart will be full after spending time with these beautiful, gentle creatures.
$ 70 (+HST) per alpaca. Maximum 2 people per alpaca, one of whom must be 16 years or older. This event is not suitable for children under 6 years old. Infants carried in a chest or back carrier are free.
